Our Christmas tree and gifts--2011 Today is 2011 Christmas eve, we had chili for dinner, it is simple day, we bought some food from hollywood market,then cleared the rooms. we planed to watch the chrismas lights in the downtown after dinner, but lazy to go , maybe we will go to there tomorrow. I just took few Christmas tree's pictures and put here, we will open christmas presents tomorrom when mom and dad come here. maybe tomorrow i will show more pictures here. :)

My birthday gifts and dinner food This is a special birthday for me. I have good time with mom&dad and Dalong, we had very great dinner in Marcus Grille-they cook good polish food. Mom and dad bought beautiful flowers and special gift for me, Dalong bought pretty shirt and pant and birthday cake for me.

The Special Day

This is a special day, our anniversary and Valenting's day and Chinese New Year. My LG sent me beautiful sunfowers and roses and sweet chocolate. We sent a happy day in some samll towns. We had a great Chinese dinner. Thank you, my Dear LG, thanks for giving me specail gifts! I hope that our life there are always the sunflowers! soon we will plant new sunfloer seeds! I love you and sunflowers!

Today is first day in 2010 , I got up very later(afier 10 am),because we went a party last night , so we got back home late , about 2 am this morning. That's nice party, we had good food and good time, My LG played the card with people, I just watched them. I like their bells for new year, and I like some songs from New York , I watched a while about the show from TV . We visited jcpenney and walmart and macys this afternoon. Most clothes are discounted,But we did not find the right size or color. I like Jcpenney clothes, I think most of them are pretty and not too expensive, Macys clothes are very good, but too expensive for me. I hope I will make more money and make better life with my LG this year,I hope my english will be better, and hope we will have a cute baby... happy new year!

Today is my third Christmas, I have good time with my LG and mom&dad. I got a lof of good gifts, i love them. We had big ham and Potatos for our dinner, I like it!

It's still raining outside, so we just stay home tonight.

Today is Halloween, this is my third Halloween, We had 18 kids, better than last two years, we just had 1 kid last Halloween. I like this festival, because it is a very interesting festival and it is a romantic autumn's festival, I like pumpkin lights and those lovely kids.

In my country, we also have a Ghost Festival, which is the tail in the summer, in our rice after the harvest. We have this festival to commemorate deceased ancestors and relatives, and celebrate the harvest, worship spirits. Our festival is interesting but a bit sad, we make a lot food for died people and us. On this day we rewrite the genealogy, and burn paper money(not real money) to the deceased ancestors ,and hope they bless us. I think this is a commemorative festival, it also a begging luck and a good harvest festival.

Shanty Creek area photo-The hotel and trees in Shanty Creek Shanty Creek is such beautiful in Fall. we spent a wonderful weekend there in the last week. In Shanty Creek's great Wood hotel, We got a nice room to view the lake and tree's Scenery, and we rade the chair lift to visited the moutain in Shanty Creek. When I rade down the chair lift, I found these trees colors are so beautiful! So I took some pictures all time on the moutain . it is very cool thing, but it's so cold day!

Anyway, I love Shanty Creek, and love the fall in MI. I will show my Shanty Creek pictures to my friends, even they are not too good pictures.

Our Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, Dalong and I went to the Asian store and bought a small bag of moon cakes, we have just eaten two, it is so delicious,we both like our moon cake. It isn't special day here, but i still get the moom cake, It brought me back to childhood. When i was young girl, my father was brought some moon cakes home in the Mid-Autumn Festival each year , so every fall I look forward to the delicious moon cakes. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a pro-people to reunion to eat moon cakes and watch the moon festival. With regard to the origin of Mid-Autumn Festival, it has some romantic or sentimental legend. One legend is about a husband and wife. The husband was a warrior, he has a beautiful wife. That year the weather is very hot, because there are 10 suns in the sky. The Warriors in order to save people, he shot arrows down the nine suns. Because of his achievements, Heaven's queen gave him some medicines, she told him to eat these elixir of life could be immortal. The Warriors returned his home , he gave these medicine to his wife, he told his wife just keep them careful somewhere in the house. he doesn't want to eat them ,because he doesn't want to leave her wife.The Warriors have a friend, when he heard that, he was determined to get to those medicines. One day, the Warriors had to leave the house to deal something. The bad friend immediately run to the Warriors house. He made the warrior's wife to surrender to those medicines , and search for them. The wife is very anxious and scared, she immediately ate those medicines. Very soon, the wife immediately turned into a fairy and flew to the moon.When the husband returned home, he only can looked at the moon to crying every day . he missed his wife every day, but he can not be reunited with her.he look forward to the night sky calling his beloved wife's name every day. People heared about that news, they decide to pray good luck for that wife and husband. A bright moon on that night, people with fruits and cakes under the moon to pray reunion. Since then, the Mid-Autumn Festival became the custom of the people on the spread.
